Mike has lived in the Murrieta Valley for over 40 years with his wife of 51 years Hennie. They raised 8 children and now have 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mike retired after 40 plus years running his heavy equipment company Monteleone Excavating in the Inland Empire, and on contract with USDF Forest Service and Cal Fire. In 1989 he became a Level 1 Reserve Riverside County Sheriff Deputy at Elsinore Station and became a Captain in 1990 serving at the Southwest Station. Mike was instrumental in founding the current Sheriffs Mounted Unit in Riverside County. In 1996 Mike was honored by the City of Temecula as Citizen of the Year.
Former board member of The Valley Group, a prominent group of business leaders who actively lobbied Sacramento and Washington DC legislatures for important issues affecting the Inland Empire. Currently serving as a Board Member of Catholic Security Ministry and the DA Crime Prevention for Riverside County.
